The West Ham striker has clawed his way back into the first team squad at Upton Park and is hoping to figure in Saturday's Premiership clash with his former club.

"I am there to give service to West Ham, and it is true that little by little I am getting football but I would really like to show what I am capable of," he said.

"It will be difficult at Liverpool but anything is possible in a match and I would be happy to return to action on Saturday up there.

"It was good at Liverpool but I am at West Ham now and happy here even if I am not playing."

"I had one fantastic season up there, but now it is part of my past. The fans there are fair and I hope it will be OK and I would do everything to earn my place in the West Ham side."
