Liverpool's win over PSV last night along with Athletico Madrid's 2-1 win over Marseille means they and the Spaniards have opened up a six point gap over the other two teams in the group. However, the Reds still have plenty to do if they're to book their place in the next round according to the skipper.

"The main point of the game was to build on the Everton result and keep winning, so we're very pleased to have another three points. It's a good start to the competition to get six points from two games," said Gerrard.

"But we're still not there - I think we'll need 10 points to get through. We still need a big performance away at Atletico in the next game and if we do that, we'll then have two home games and we'll be very confident."
