Cardiff want Fowler

The Championship club are prepared to offer the former Liverpool striker a one year contract. Fowler is believed to be one of three Premiership players in talks with the Welsh club.

"We offered them what we think are attractive packages and are hopeful they will decide to come to Cardiff City," said Cardiff chairman Peter Risdale.

"I think the calibre of the players the club is approaching shows how much we've progressed."
