Carra: Anything can happen

The defender said that whilst he admitted the Reds will be considered one of the outsiders for the Cup, the team are certain to put everything into progressing through the next round.

"AC Milan and Chelsea will be looked upon as being among the best teams in Europe. We're probably not up there but we want to go as far as we can," he said.

"We're happy to be here and have probably done a lot more than many people thought we would at the start of the season. But we're not just going to give up and take it easy in the next round," Carra added.

"I'm sure we will be considered one of the outsiders in the last eight, and probably rightly so, because there are a lot of teams left in who are winning trophies and titles in their own countries. But the best teams don't always win the Champions League - anything can happen. I'd imagine every game will be tight and could go either way. In a one-off game anything can happen," he concluded.
