"Any game in the Premier League is hard but early on they had a great chance, I made a mistake and they probably should have scored," he said after the game.

"If they'd gone 1-0 up it would have been a different game. It looked easy at the end but could have turned out differently if they had have taken that chance early on.

"Our record away from home has been poor this season. We've normally had poor home form over recent years and we've sorted that out so we need to sort the away form out in the second half of the season and hopefully that will get us closer to the top teams.

"We've had a few injury problems but a lot of the players are coming back now. I'm sure the manager will be looking to add more in January and I'm sure that will make us better in the second half of the season in the league.

"Middlesbrough got beat today so that's a decent result for us, but Everton won so we've just got to keep going and sort out our away form in the second half of the season."
