Carra disappointed with Sweden performance

England got a 2-2 draw with Sweden in their final group game to ensure they topped Group B and avoided Germany in the last sixteen. However, Carragher says England's performance was poor against the Swedes.

"We played the best we have played so far in the tournament in the first half, getting in lots of shots on goal and keeping them out at the back - but they were always going to come into it because they needed a result. Football is always like that.

"If Sweden had been beating us, we would have done that to them second half. The team who is behind have nothing to lose and throw everything at it and credit to them. We just can't seem to beat them.

"Thirty-eight years is a long time. Even though we finished top of the group, we are disappointed that we never beat them with just the record Sweden have against us and how long it has been."
