Carra hopeful of London revival

The Reds will travel to London tomorrow to prepare for the semi-final tie, and Carra is positive the Redmen can rise to the challenge.

"Hopefully we can go from a disappointing result against Crystal Palace to getting a result against one of the best teams in the world. We seem to lift ourselves for the big games this season. It's been a funny season. We got beat at Manchester City and then four days later went to Juventus and got a result there," he said.

He added: "Obviously a result like this doesn't lift your morale going into the next game but we've done it before and we can do it again."

And Carra admitted the European semi-final tie might have been on some of the players' minds.

He said: "We're a very inconsistent side. We have to agree with the critics who say that. Maybe the Chelsea game was at the back of some players minds on Saturday but we're all very disappointed with the result."
