Carra knock not serious

Carragher was forced off after only ten minutes of yesterday's 2-1 defeat to Athletico Madrid but Rafael Benitez has revealed the subsitution was a precaution and his vice-captain should be okay for Liverpool's first game of the new campaign.

"He's okay," Benitez told reporters in his post-match press conference.

"He twisted his ankle and it was just a precaution to bring him off because we have had problems with the other centre backs and we wanted to protect him."
