Carra nearly choked on his corflakes

"We were having breakfast at Melwood and I almost spat my cornflakes out when I heard the news," he said.

"Like everyone else I was watching reports on the TV and thought that Stevie was leaving, but now we're absolutely delighted he's staying.

"It's a great boost for everyone because we thought he had gone. This is almost like signing a new player for nothing, even if he will cost a few quid in wages."
