"Before the game it was said it didn't matter but we wanted to win the group. We wanted to finish top," said Carragher.
"We're pleased of course, it's nice to finish top. Chelsea are a great team - one of the best in Europe - so its a great accolade for the club and the players to finish above Chelsea.
"It's a slight advantage to finish top, even if its just to play your second leg at home."
