"It's one of thise difficult places to come, they are the champions and a great side," he said after the game.
"I know there was a lot of speculation before the game which obviously hyped it up and made it a little bit more special. But its three points and we're on a good run now and going to keep it going.
"Players come and go. We've played against plenty of former players. We've played against Robbie Fowler when he went to Leeds. It's not easy.
"We know the quality and Fernando is one of the best strikers in the world and I'm sure he'll prove that for Chelsea, but he's not with us now so we have to focus on our own jobs and that's what we did."
