Carragher remains upbeat

Ryan Babel's late goal gave Liverpool hope of qualification for the knockout stages, but a quick equaliser leaves the Reds dependent upon other results to get through.

"We had a few chances and we got the goal," said Carragher. "Ryan got a great goal and you expect to see it out, but its disappointing that we haven't.

"It's going to be difficult but all we can do is win our next two games and see what happens. We know its going to be difficult but we're not out of it yet.

"Until it happens we will keep believing that we can get through. We've got to win the next two games and see where we go, but if we don't get through it's not the end of the world. The team will go on, Liverpool will go on, don't worry about that.

"If you look at the manager's record in Europe, I don't think you can look at one qualifying round.

"I think he's been here five or six years now and we've won it, been to a final, semi-finals and quarter-finals every year now so our Champions League record over the last few years with the manager has been superb."
