Carson joins Charlton

Carson, who was part of England's World Cup squad, will link up with ex-Red Djimi Traore at the Valley. Carson will be unable to play against Liverpool this season because of Premier League regulations.

Carson's loan move means Jerzy Dudek has agreed to stay at Anfield as no.2 goalkeeper to Pepe Reina.
