He said: "A few seasons ago we played Liverpool and that was an epic. We were so close and hopefully we will do the job in Stuttgart.
"Then if it is Liverpool in the quarter-final we can try and do better than we did before.
"I was in the youth team at the time. I was only 17 and I was at home.
"Michael Owen scored in the first half and we pressed them and eventually Jackie McNamara and Simon Donnelly scored, but right at the end it was McManaman who scored here.
"The crowd were buzzing that night and it was a great goal to win it so we'll see what happens."
