After suffering defeat at Birmingham on Saturday, the Liverpool boss is determined to learn from the experience.
"We tried to play football but if you don't win the battles then you cannot play football," he said.
"We now have 10 days to analyse what was wrong in this game but if you look at each player, none of them played to their best.
"We've got to try and change things for the next game."
