Charlton and Birmingham want Smicer

Smicer is available on a free transfer at the end of the month and is attracting interest from numerous clubs, although he would like to remain in the Premiership.

"Charlton and Birmingham are really interested," he said. "But Lens and Bordeaux have the same interest. But I have to admit my family prefer to stay in England.

"What a pity that Southampton are relegated. I would have gone there."
