Cheyrou to go... finally

The French midfielder was signed by Gerard Houllier from Lille for £3.7million but failed to live up to his 'next Zidane' label.

He went to Marseille on loan in the summer of 2004, and moved onto Bordeaux on loan last season.

He now looks set to make his stay in France a permanent one, with Rennes keen to sign him.
