Cisse is back

Cisse was left out of the squad on Wednesday, as the Reds beat Sunderland, although Benitez insisted it was a move designed simply to rest the player, and was in no way connected to Cisse's very public head shake as he was substituted against Manchester City.

Benitez said, "I rested Djib in midweek but he is back in the squad for the Wigan game. All players want to play. It's normal."
