I am happy with my start to the season," said the former Auxerre striker.

"I was not always good. Some matches were not up to what people could hope for but, after such a change, I think it is not so bad.

"The English league is not more difficult nor any easier than Le Championnat - it is just different. There is no comparison."

Cisse is also confident that Liverpool have all the ingredients for a successful season.

"There is still a little lack of understanding in our game," he added. "We don't know each other well enough, but it will come.

"We can have a good Champions League season. We have as many chances as every other team, like Monaco.

"And it is the same in the English league. We don't feel below Arsenal or Chelsea.

"We are no less good than they are."
