Cisse settling in

The fearsome French forward has already displayed his brilliant blend of pace, power and predatory instincts during the tour of America in which he has found the net three times in as many games.

The real test for the exciting young striker will soon be upon him as the Reds prepare for an August 14th date with Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane before Cisse's eagerly-awaited home debut against Manchester City a week later.

Cisse said: "Yes, it has gone really well for me and I know that the fans will be really pleased with what has happened. I really feel I am beginning to settle in now. I am feeling a lot more at home but I will never take anything for granted.

"It has surprised me because you need time at a new club. I think Liverpool are understanding me quickly. Pace is one of my main weapons, it is my first attribute, and the team know how to use it.

"But it is early, there is more to come and I will not get carried away. I know I am still missing a few things from my game and I feel I have been doing a few easy things wrong in matches. I have not been happy with that.

"There are a lot of things I need to work hard on still. I need to be doing a lot more good things for the team than I have done so far.

"You have seen my speed, it is one of my weapons, but not the only one. There are other parts to my game that I want to bring out and I hope you will see them when I have settled in."
