Cisse to stay at Marseille

The Liverpool striker has spent the season on loan at the French club and it was believed that they would not follow up with a permanent offer.

But club president Papa Diouf is hopeful of either renewing the loan deal or negotiating a reduced price for Cisse.

"There is room for manoeuvre between what both sides want," he said. "We will discuss things this week."
