However, Parry did say that several offers had been received by the Reds.
"There was a lot of speculation over his future. We did receive unsolicited approaches, partly as a result of the speculation over Michael. We turned them all down and we declared that we were not trying to sell Djibril," he said.
And Parry added that he now wants to see Cisse return to the stunning form experienced poreviously in his career.
"I hope he builds on his success in Monaco when he scored twice in the Super Cup final, remembering how desperately unlucky he was last season. We haven't seen the real Djibril yet so we certainly back him and hope he bags 25 goals," he said.
