Cisse worried about World Cup

Cisse has not had a decent run in the first team this season and has found himself restricted to the odd cameo appearance. This has had an affect on his international chances, as Cisse has not played for France since November and he is worried he will miss out on the World Cup.

"Yes, I'm a bit worried. There is always a fear about not being in the squad," said the striker.

"Fears are always on my mind concerning Germany. I am scared but I will fight until the end to be in the 23-man list.

"In 2002, the World Cup was bitter, in 2004 I was not at the Euros, so in 2006 I wish to be in Germany to have a great World Cup.

"I must not complain. I just need to shut up, work and give my best. I still have a three-year contract. I feel good here even if I don't play much. I get along very well with my team mates and I have a nice house and a son, Cassius. I have also got married."
