After appearing before a sports tribunal in Switzerland Cisse had his five match ban for unsporting behaviour reduced to a four game ban.
The tribunal held that Cisse was guilty of insulting the referee but ruled that his behaviour was not unsporting.
The reduction means Cisse may yet be in contention for France's Euro 2004 squad.
