Clinical finishing a must

The Reds dominated plenty of games last season but were unable to turn that dominance into goals. This was especially costly in the home game against Man Utd and the Champions League final. It's something the players must improve on says Crouch.

"We have to think we can win the league. In the Champions League we played superbly and if we play like that in the league, we'll certainly be closer to Man Utd and Chelsea," said the England striker.

"We need to turn the draws we got against teams we should be beating into wins. We need to be more clinical.

"When we get one chance, we need to take it, then defend well. You also need a bit of luck; Man Utd and Chelsea have both had that in recent years."
