Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has once again been speaking about his Anfield regrets.

Collymore, who last weekend repeated on Sky Sports that he shouldn't have quit Liverpool, has provided 4-4-2 magazine with an excellent interview this month.

In the interview Stan is asked about the infamous incident why he refused to play for the reserves when they were due to take on Sheffield Wednesday back in 1995.

"At the time my form was quite good, and then I was asked to play in the reserves and it was....[pauses] just a point of principle really that I refused to play in the game.

"I regret it from the fact that I should have just got on and played the game and used that as a way of making by protest by sticking a couple of goals in, perhaps. If it happened now, that's how I would handle it."

In the same interview Collymore admits that newspaper talk of proposed come-backs in the Conference division really pisses him off.

"A lot of the speculation of this club and that club in the lower leagues I find disrespectful because I could still go and play in the Premiership now. With ease," he blasts.
