Despite performing well in the youth squad, the 17-year-old German defender has failed to break into the reserves since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in 2008.
"Fulham can announce the signing of young German left-back Christopher Buchtmann from Liverpool on an 18-month contract that will see the player at the club until June 2011," confirmed a club statement.
