A series of impressive performances for the Highfield Road club, including a cracking thirt yard strike against Norwich last night, has convinced former Red Gary McAllister that Partridge is a valuable asset in the clubs push for promotion.

And after the success of the initial one month loan deal Partridge is delighted that he'll be getting regular first team football at last.

He said: "I've enjoyed the month down here a great deal and I'm more than happy to stay for the rest of the season and get regular first team football.

"It's a great league as you saw last night with two big teams playing against each other and it won't do me any harm whatsoever. I can only gain from it and hopefully it'll be a good stepping stone for me to play for Liverpool.

"I'll be really surprised come the end of the season if we're not at least in the play-offs. All the lads here are great and we?ve all got tunnel vision to get us into the top six places and hopefully come the end of the season we will be there."
