"I was on holiday during the last World Cup and it did seem a million miles away for me at that stage. I was not playing at the level I am at now and I want to make the most of this opportunity," he said.
"I think it worked really well on Saturday with Michael and I've enjoyed playing with him every time we have played together, from the first time in America when he got a hat-trick against Colombia.
"Hopefully we can form a partnership and if the manager chooses to play us, I think it will work well. We complement each other and hopefully we can go to the tournament and play together and play well together."
