"The booking was disappointing. I didn't know I was facing suspension," said Crouch.
"You don't want to miss an England game. There is always someone to take your place but hopefully I can get back in.
"Have I done enough? I certainly believe so. I've got a good record at this level and hopefully I can keep proving that. Every player has to prove himself in every game for England and Liverpool, two massive stages to play on.
"If your form dips a touch, you are going to be replaced. You've got to keep on your toes otherwise there will be somewhere there to replace you."
