Crouch, whose header yesterday took his tally to three goals in his last two European games, said the team believed they could claim a sixth European Cup title.

"Of course we believe we can go all the way again," he said. "I think we have more strength in depth than when we won it last time, and with a little bit of luck I'm sure we can be serious contenders," P.C said.

He added that winning the group was now the teams top priority.

"We're determined to finish top of the group. With the game being at Anfield, I'm sure we'll get the right result. We did exactly what we needed to do against Bordeaux and now a win from either of our next two home games will see us through," he said.
