Crouch's winner against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night was his fifth goal in his last four matches. The striker is hoping to continue his recent run of form and fire Liverpool into the European Cup final.

"It was a case of getting the job done on the night and that's what we did. It was never a spectacular game but we needed to be professional and we did the right things," said Crouch.

"All the lads were up for it before the game so there was no problem on that score. I think if it had stayed 0-0 then we would have shown more urgency to try and make sure we got a winner.

"I'm really pleased to have scored the goal. I've done well in this competition this season and I think my form of late has been good.

"Now we can look forward to the games with Chelsea. They're a tough team so we know it's going to be difficult, but we're all desperate to get back into another final and for me it would be a dream come true if we could do it."
