Crouch has Pompey talks

Liverpool have given Portsmouth permission to talk to Crouch after the two clubs agreed a fee for the striker. Crouch will have a medical once he agrees personal terms and will join Pompey before the end of the week.

"We have reached a verbal agreement with Portsmouth and have given them permission to speak with Peter," said a Liverpool FC spokesman.
