Crouch hits treble

Crouch scored England's second goal when he hit home with the aid of a deflection. He got England's fifth and his second after an assist from fellow Red Jamie Carragher who came charging up the right hand side and put a good cross into the box.

Crouch had a chance to wrap up his hat-trick when England were awarded a penalty for a foul on Michael Owen. Unfortunately for Crouch he put the spot-kick over the crossbar.

It wasn't long before the Liverpool striker did complete his hat-trick however. Michael Owen laid the ball off to Crouch in the 18 yard box for him to put away a nifty finish into the bottom right hand corner of the goal and take home the match ball.
