"I know that if I move on from here the only way is down. You want to play for a club like this for as long as you can," said the England striker in an interview with LFC Magazine.
"Liverpool is the kind of place you aspire to be throughout your career. Playing for a club like this and challenging for honours year in, year out is what it is all about.
"When I wasn't playing so much at the start of the season the manager told me he would start picking me and he has.
"Just look at where we are right now. We're right up there in the Premier League, we're still in the Champions League and we've got the FA Cup to come.
"We've got so many exciting times ahead this season and I've got every intention of being around to enjoy them."
