"I'm looking forward to the games," said the Liverpool striker.
"There have been a few injuries and hopefully I will get a chance to play in one if not both.
"There are a lot of top strikers and we will all be working hard and trying our best to get in the team.
"It is up to the manager who he decides to pick, but in previous games for England I've felt that I've done well and I hope to continue doing that if selected.
"First and foremost I'm a fan. I want to see England in the European Championships. I want to play a part in getting us there and I would like to think that I can do that."
