Chelsea's John Terry and Frank Lampard had already put England into a 2-0 lead when Crouch slotted home the third on 35 minutes before heading home the 4th just before half time.
Crouch played the full 90 minutes while Steven Gerrard played 80. Jamie Carragher was a subsitute but came on for the final ten minutes while on loan Liverpool goalkeeper Chris Kirkland played the second half.
