Crouch thanks Rafa

Crouch is set to return to the Liverpool first team for tomorrow's FA Cup fifth round clash with Manchester United after missing the Reds' last two games with a slight injury.

Crouch believes he has improved as a player since joining Liverpool from Southampton for £7m in the summer and he says he must thank Rafa Benitez for that.

"I really think I have improved in every aspect of my game and I have to give the manager credit for that," he said.

"I am working with one of the most respected managers in Europe and he is very much a training ground boss.

"He is always there, watching teaching and talking. I have not been used to that at previous clubs. Some managers rely on their coaches and other staff to take care of training on a day to day basis but not this boss.

"Rain, shine, hail or snow he will be out there with us and you appreciate that. He has been good for me, he is always talking to me and it is always useful bits of advice.

"Every day he is on at us to improve individually and collectively and you really want to do it because of him."
