Crouch waits for Liverpool move

The Hammers bid of £6m exceeds Liverpool's latest offer of £5m, but Southampton are holding out for more.

"West Ham did make a cash bid but we turned it down," confirmed Saints boss Harry Redknapp.

"But let's not kid ourselves, Peter wants to go and play for Liverpool where he can play in the Champions League and get eight times the pay."
