Marina was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and had a successful operation and chimotherapy at Clatterbridge hospital.
The trust will raise funds to secure equipment, help improve facilities at local centres and support research into the illness and Dalglish is hoping that his backing will give the campaign support across the city.
