The reserve team captain will play the final game of his loan spell with Swindon this afternoon- at Wembley in the League One play-off final. Darby is now crossing his fingers and hoping he gets a place in the starting line-up.

"I have really enjoyed my spell at Swindon and I have gained a lot of experience, and hopefully we can get the result today," said the defender.

"We have worked really hard as a team to get this far and to play at Wembley would be a dream come true for me.

"Besides making my debut for Liverpool and then getting a first start, this is probably one of the biggest games of my career.

"Everyone is looking forward to it and we can't wait. We went out onto the pitch on Friday and it is an awesome stadium, so to play in front of a large crowd will be something special."
