Speculation linking the Reds with a possible swoop for Southampton left-back Wayne Bridge has returned.
Reports in the British press today claim that Bridge is on Gerard Houllier's shopping list and that Newcastle, who are recruiting wisely and quietly at the moment, are also showing an interest.
