Defiant Houllier won't compromise Reds style

The Reds 2-1 loss to Sir Alex Ferguson's side was Liverpool's third Anfield reverse after defeats earlier in the season to the other members of the elite top three in Arsenal and Chelsea.

Houllier, however, has revealed that a difficult start to the campaign will not thwart his attempts to perfect his new brand of attacking football.

Houllier said: "Our game has changed and I will not compromise the style we now play. We go forward and create chances. We have had chances in every game we have played this season, maybe apart from the Aston Villa match.

"Unfortunately, we didn't finish today, but I am stubborn. I will keep going because I think this is the future.

"It's like a building site at the moment because we are starting something different, but I believe this way is the right way."
