Diao moves

The Senegalese midfielder, who hasn't played for Liverpool in over a year, joins the Championship side tomorrow until January 13th 2007.

"We've been monitoring Salif for a while now and have had very good reports about the kid," said Stoke boss Tony Pulis, who presumably has Diao mixed up with someone else.

"He played 40 games in his first season at Liverpool but he's still only 29 and he's desperate to play football."
