Although Diao was played a few games for Liverpool this season the player believes he should have been a regular in the Liverpool first eleven.
Diao said: "It was difficult at Liverpool because I would play and then be left out for two weeks. Whoever you are, it is difficult to play like that and I felt I should be playing.
"I am a big lad who needs to be playing regularly."
