"With the games coming thick and fast again I hope to play a bit more than I have over the past few weeks but I am quite optimistic that I play my games and take part more than I have recently," said Hamann.
"That's the way it is at the moment. You just have to be in the best possible shape when you are needed.
"We have a tremendous programme coming up. The Champions League is starting again soon, we are still in the FA Cup and we need to play the two games we have in hand in the Premiership.
"It's a busy schedule from now to the end of the season and the better we do the more games we will have."
