Didi's rallying call

With four points from a possible nine so far Liverpool must take maximum points from Saturday's game at home to West Brom says midfielder Didi Hamann.

"When we beat Manchester City this season it was the first time we had won at home after losing at half time in five years," he said. "That makes me optimistic that we will win more games than we have done over the past few seasons.

"It's not just about getting results at Anfield. Our away record over the past twelve to eighteen months hasn't been much better either. We just have to improve all round and I'm confident we will." said Hamann.

"We want a good result after what happened at Bolton. We had one up front that day with support from midfield and we didn?t play well. It's up to us to improve now and we have every belief in ourselves and the manager to start getting results.

"The West Brom match is a big one for us now. I don't know whether they are better equipped to stay up this time but if you get promoted to the Premiership you deserve your place.

"The First Division is a very tough league and they have made a good signing in Kanu. We will see how it turns out but we know it won't be an easy game but we hope for the best and hope for the three points."
