Diouf set for Marseille?

Marseille general manager Pape Diouf has stated that his side do have the money to buy El-Hadj Diouf, especially since Liverpool are not expecting anywhere near what they paid for the Senegalese international.

Pape Diouf has insisted Marseille do have money to spend and they are looking at players who already have experience of the French top flight.

Diouf said: "We have to hire players with recognised talent, and most of them who are playing in Le Championnat.

"That is our philosophy. Christophe Bouchet (Marseille president) told me the club will have the means to get a competitive team together in the summer."
