Djibril delighted with recent run

After a bumpy start to his career at Anfield, Cisse now believes he is fulfiling his potential.

"It is totally different to what I was like this time last year. I was on crutches and now I am enjoying every minute, even if I played in goal I'd be happy. As long as I am playing it doesn't matter where, I am just happy to be in the team," he said.

Cisse added, "I am happy to play on the right, particularly when I score like that. But I will do it for the team, it is better to play on the right rather than sit on the bench. I am also pleased with the amount of goals I have scored so far, even though I know I can do better and score more."

But the modest striker admitted that his latest effort against Portsmouth wasn't quite as he had planned.

"I didn't mean that one against Portsmouth, but I'm more than happy that it dropped in. I am enjoying my football, I had some luck to score on Saturday against Portsmouth, things are going well for me," he concluded.
