Liverpool have added Andrey Voronin and Lucas Levia to their first team squad but so far there has been an absence of big name signings. With the first team due back at Melwood for pre-season training on Thursday, supporters are beginning to worry.

Rafa Benitez has reassured fans that progress is being made behind the scenes however, and he is confident of adding a couple more names to the squad.

"We have a number of targets, and I am receiving interesting phone calls all the time," said the Reds boss.

"We are monitoring situations all the time and there is no urgency yet. If we bring in players from Spain, they only finished playing a week ago so they will need a longer break, but I would like somebody in before we start pre-season training."
